Directions to Gateview

For everyone, once you arrive:

Go to the security office at the top of the driveway, and tell the the security guard what unit you are visiting. The guard will call your host to let them know you are here, and will give you a parking pass. Sometime visitor parking is at a premium at peak visiting hours - weekend afternoons and Friday and Saturday evenings - so it is a good idea to carpool or you may have to find parking on Pierce.

By car, from the North, on 80:

Take the Central Avenue exit. From the exit take a left on Central Avenue. Just past two immediate stoplights, and just after the Valero gas station, is Pierce. Take a right on Pierce St., and after a minute or so you should see Gateview, the tall condos, on your left. The driveway has a large blue sign that says, "555" and "Gateview" on it.

By car, from the North, on 580:

Take the Central Avenue exit. From the exit take a right on Central Avenue. Just past two quick stoplights, and just after the Valero gas station, is Pierce. Take a right on Pierce St., and after a minute or so you should see Gateview, the tall condos, on your left. The driveway has a large blue sign that says, "555" and "Gateview" on it.

By car, from the North, via San Pablo Avenue:

Coming South on San Pablo, take a right on Central, right after Burger King. Go about 4-5 blocks, and take a left on Pierce, which is right after the Shell gas station. After a minute or so you should see Gateview, the tall condos, on your left. The driveway has a large blue sign that says, "555" and "Gateview" on it.

By car, from the South, on 80/580:

Go towards Berkeley, and then past Berkeley. After Berkeley is Albany. At this point the freeway splits into 80 and 580. It doesn't matter whether you bear left or right! Both sides have a Central Avenue exit. Take the very next exit, Central Avenue. From the exit take a right on Central Avenue. Just past two immediate stoplights, and just after the Valero gas station, is Pierce. Take a right on Pierce St., and after a minute or so you should see Gateview, the tall condos, on your left. The driveway has a large blue sign that says, "555" and "Gateview" on it.

By car, from the South, via San Pablo Avenue:

Coming North on San Pablo, take a left on Marin/Buchanon. Go about 4-5 blocks, and take a right on Pierce, which is just before the freeway overpass. After 2 short blocks and 1/2 of a long block, you should see tall condos on the side of Albany Hill. That is Gateview. Go just past the buildings, and take a right into the driveway, which has a large blue sign that says, "555" and "Gateview" on it.

By bus

The AC Transit bus 25 runs down Pierce St., and stops near Gateview.
The AC Transit bus L runs between Pierce St. and San Francisco during commute hours.

By BART

By BART, get off at the El Cerrito Plaza station. From there, take the 25 bus, or walk west on Central until you get to Pierce, then walk south on Pierce to Gateview. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to Gateview from BART.
